I DON’T KNOW HOW I BLOGGED DECENTLY ABOUT SINGAPORE WHEN I’M STILL ON A HIGH FROM THE SCRIPT’S CONCERT!! AHHHHHHHHH!!! MINDBLOWN. HEART IS STILL POUNDING. EARS STILL CAN’T HEAR PROPERLY. MY HEAD’S IN A DAZE. I’M SO HAPPY!
So one of my favorite bands in the world (the other being Maroon 5) finally decided to go the Philippines and share their wonderful music with us Filipinos. I remember the year 2008 - 2009 when I first heard The Script and fell in love with their music (and lead singer). I was a bit brokenhearted then and I would play ‘Breakeven’ on the loop 24/7. I even went to their sites and did this edited version of the music video ‘The Man who Can’t be Moved’ because I was so obsessed. I would play their albums for days and I would drown myself in Danny’s voice and the amazing songs that the band created. My friend Myko and I promised ourselves that one day we will watch them play live here in Manila, it was something we were determined to do. We were a bit disheartened that they didn’t go here to promote their first album.
Unfortunately for this year, Britney came with her new album again so I wasn’t able to listen to The Script’s second album as much as the first one although I do know that their songs are really good. But then the greatest thing happened: They announced their concert here in Manila. I was so psyched about it and I didn’t care that I was going to use my own hard-earned money for the tickets. I mean, c’mon, it’s not everyday your favorite band goes to your hometown, right?

I went to the show today with my good friends Mary and Myko.

The show was short but it was awesome. I can’t really explain it right now. The mere fact that I’m speechless (at this rate) simply shows how INCREDIBLE their show was. Danny and the boys were really amazing and at one point when Danny took off his jacket, I thought I was going to faint in happiness. Hahahaha! But seriously, their songs are amazing.

I’d gladly work and buy my own tickets the next time they come here. Kudos to the boys for a great job. Manila (I) loves you! :D
