Dream guy

A friend and I were talking about her dream guy and the qualities he would possess, and it got me thinking about what I want in a man, particularly my dream man.

If it were indeed a dream, I’d probably go for someone with Brad Pitt’s charm, Tom Cruise’s smile, Randy Orton’s body, Michael C. Hall’s poise, John Cena’s eyes, Johnny Depp’s wit and James Deen’s sexual appetite. But hey, we’re not in a fantasy world and this is reality. I don’t want to make my standards that high and risk being alone my entire life. If a had a list, and to be honest I don’t like making these things, my dream guy should probably have these traits:

1. Funny. I don’t need a class clown or a stand up comedian. If a guy can make me laugh at least, then that would be great. I love the feeling I get when I laugh too much, it’s like I can’t breathe but I’m not scared of suffocating. If a man can make me laugh like that (and in a good way), then he’s definitely my type.

2. Smart. He doesn’t have to be a valedictorian or a genius trying to invent the cure for cancer, all I want is someone I can be a nerd with. Someone who would enjoy reading and watching documentaries once in a while, and he won’t be too uptight to discuss it with me. Maybe we can even argue every now and then about these things. I want someone who will stimulate me intellectually.

3. Open minded. Like I mentioned, I want someone who’s not too uptight about things. I don’t mind if he’s a devout Catholic and would want to attend mass every Sunday, that’s fine with me. But if he gets mad at me for my views in politics, religion, sex, etc. and he DEMANDS that he is right? That’s a really big turn off. I want someone who’s willing to accept the reality of life nowadays, someone who has their own opinions but wouldn’t force them to someone.

4. Rich (or atleast has money to spend). Okay c’mon, this is my dream man, remember? I’m not going to lie and say that I don’t want a rich guy, BECAUSE I DO. I want someone who would treat me out to dinner, drive me home (or at least pick me up) and be willing to splurge with me on trips, especially outside the country. I don’t like someone who’d buy me expensive stuff  all the time though, because I don’t want to look like I’m only after his money. If he gives me gifts occassionally, then that would make me happy.

5. Goal oriented. I’m a dreamer, I have so many dreams and I repeat them to myself everyday so I don’t forget them: Paris, Makeup School, Britney Spears, travel around the world, be a millionaire, the list goes on. I definitely want someone who has goals in life, even if his goals aren’t very similar to mine. I want someone who isn’t afraid to dream about things that may seem impossible to so many others. I want someone who’s passionate for something in his life and eventually he’ll be passionate about me too.

6. A Gentleman. I’d probably want someone who’d push the door open for me, pull the chair back so I can sit and give me flowers every now and then. I’m a tough girl and I can handle myself pretty well, but I’d just like someone who would prove to me that I can be treated as a lady.

7. Patient. Lastly, I want someone who’s patient enough to bear when me when I’m PMS-ing. Someone who’ll fight back to me but would also admit to his defeat. He’ll be willing to listen to me talk about Britney Spears, WWE and all the other things I’m passionate about and he won’t think it’s stupid. I want someone who’ll be patient enough to get to really know me before judging me.

That’s it.

Physically, all I want is someone with a square jaw and thin lips. (Okay, for my dream man, I’d probably say I want him to have abs, short hair, perfect teeth and all that.) But reality wise, I’m attracted to guys with nice lips.

Okay, you can send your resumes to my email now. Kbye.
